GARDNER, N.D. (KFGO) โ A Grand Forks woman was arrested for driving under the influence following a two-vehicle collision on I-29 about two miles south of Gardner late Saturday afternoon.
The highway patrol says 33-year-old Elizabeth Denault from Grand Forks, was northbound when the SUV she was driving ran into the back of another SUV. Both vehicles came to a stop on the side of the interstate.
The driver of the SUV that was hit, 76-year-old Wilma Smith from Grand Forks, was treated for minor injuries at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
The woman who the patrol says caused the collision had been drinking and besides the DUI charge, she will also likely be charged with reckless endangerment with indifference.
